The Challenge

Halden had built a solid DTC business but had never shipped a retail purchase order. Their new grocery partner required GS1-128 case labels, specific pallet configurations, ASN transmission and a booked delivery appointment — any miss carried a per-occurrence chargeback.

They had 60 days and no EDI experience.

What We Did

We treated the routing guide as the spec and worked backwards.

  • Case and pallet build. Cases labeled to GS1-128, pallets built to the retailer's tie-high specification and stretch-wrapped to their standard.
  • Contract packaging. Retail-ready display cases assembled in-house so Halden shipped one SKU instead of components.
  • Appointment and freight. LTL booked and delivery appointments scheduled against each PO's delivery window.

The Outcome

All six opening purchase orders were accepted without a compliance deduction. Halden has since added two more chains on the same process and now sends roughly 40% of volume through retail.

The routing guide read like another language to us. PrepFort had done it before, and that was the whole difference.
